VW Passes on Savannah/Pooler Megasite!

It's a sad day in Savannah. The most perfectly positioned "Megasite" has been passed on again!!! What is going on??? 1500 acres bordered by 2 major interstates and the fastest growing port in the country. All of this with potentially an unlimited access to warehousing acreage.

Well the Savannah Morning News thought this article wasn't important enough to be the main headline! It thought that the fact that the city of Savannah brought 3 million in red light(camera) fines was more important!!!!...Don't bring up the fact or raise the issue that the educational system here in Savannah is one sided and that most people moving here are told that after elementary school their child would definitely need to attend private...Don't bring up the fact that the old Pennsylvania School located across from Savannah High school is on the market for 500k and that if 1-1.5 million were thrown towards renovation it would be a perfectly operable "Montessori" school.......

This is a disgrace.......but I have an answer....

The city can go ahead and start a "professional marketing campaign" with the 3 million dollars brought in by red light cameras.

Savannah needs to find out who markets Michigan! I have seen their commercials on TV and they are great.

Let's take and market the site to a windmaill manufacturer. It's got the land for the blade manufacture and storage. Space for generator manufacture and/or assembly and storage. The ports, two interstates and multiple rail options available. It would be a green industry that everyone could support.
